b.well is a health technology company that works with our customers to build connected health experiences for their consumer end users (“you”). To learn more read our Privacy and Security Statement for Enterprise Customers and Their End Users. 

One of our products is Smart Connect, a solution that allows you to locate and use data from your medical and claims records in the application you use to access Smart Connect (each, a “Connected App”).  Whenever you use b.well services through Smart Connect, our Smart Connect Terms of Use and Privacy and Security Notice applies. 

As a Smart Connect user, you have the right to the following disclosures under a regulatory framework called The Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement  (“TEFCA”). More information about TEFCA is available at (https://rce.sequoiaproject.org/tefca/). Among other things, TEFCA is intended to support uses and disclosures of individually identifiable health information, as specified in the Common Agreement and applicable U.S. Department of Health and Human Services guidance.

Once you launch Smart Connect in a Connected App, you also have a right to withdraw consent. You have 3 ways of doing this:

Bidirectional vs Retrieve Only Services

TEFCA requires b.well to disclose whether or not we support bidirectional services through TEFCA. 

REQUEST-ONLY IAS PROVIDER: B.WELL DOES NOT PROVIDE BIDIRECTIONAL SERVICES THROUGH TEFCA. YOU WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO REQUEST ACCESS TO YOUR HEALTH INFORMATION VIA TEFCA EXCHANGE. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE B.WELL TO SHARE YOUR HEALTH INFORMATION WITH OTHER PARTICIPANTS IN TEFCA.
